Fudgy Brownies

These are rich in flavor, but not overly sweet treats are perfect for your chocolate craving but won’t leave you with a cavity. With the option to make these sweeter but upping the sugar, you can tailor fit these to your level of craving!

Ingredients:

6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, plus extra for coating the pan
8 ounces semi sweet chocolate (chocolate chips work fine here)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 large eggs
1/2 cup flour

Directions:

Position the rack to the lower half of the oven and preheat to 325°F. Lightly butter 8×8 inch baking pan and line with parchment paper, extending the paper over the two sides of the pan. Butter the paper as well.

In a large heat proof bowl, melt the butter and chocolate over a pot of gently simmering water. Stir until melted and smooth and remove from heat. With a wire whisk, mix in sugar, salt and eggs. Combine flour and coca powder in a small bowl and add to chocolate mixture, folding in until combined well.

Pour the batter into the buttered pan and top with chocolate chips. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool on rack for 10-15 minutes before removing from pan to cut.
